The coffee grinding process is one of the main stages, if not the most critical, of the entire industrialization process for coffee; it is at this stage that the granulometry and desired visual aspect of the final product is defined, as well as the product density.
Density is a very important factor that is directly related to the operational cost in industrial production; using the ICMELC system brings users several advantages, which include savings of 7% to 12% on packaging, which occurs due to a level of compacting only obtained using the ICMELC system through its total crushing process, which results in elevated density of ground coffee when compared to any similar grinding systems.
The percentage saved on packaging varies according to the granulometry used, but the results obtained with our equipment always top those obtained with equivalent machines.

We also offer a special line of grinders called Inox. The models in the line are internally covered in stainless steel and the grinder rolls are completely made of the same material; the grinders in this line are considered 100% sanitary because every component that comes into contact with the product during the grinding process is covered in stainless steel, including the densifier bolt, a part located on the ground coffee exit that is featured on our equipment.
Our grinders are capable of any granulometry standard, whether it be thick, medium, fine or extra-fine. Because of this our products have been growingly sought after by foreign markets, thanks to the versatility of ICMELC grinders, which are capable of processing the most diverse granulometries to be found anywhere in the world, still preserving the quality of the coffee, making for homogenous products with constant levels of granulometry over long periods of grinding, all with excellent value for its production capability. For example, the ICMELC SUPER 2000 6R model has a minimum capacity of 2,500 kg/hour, with a very low power consumption of 50.19 Kw/h at a voltage of 380v or 52.82 Kw/h at 220v.
The ICMELC generation III 6.R industrial grinders feature six rolls, distributed into three grinding stages: pre-grind, grind and micro grind. All of the rolls are hollow to allow for water circulation in its liquid cooling system, keeping roll temperature low during equipment operation.
Simplicity and savings; we have substituted older chains and gears with belts and pulleys, which has made grinders even more simple and cost-efficient. The cost of belts is lower, which makes for decreased spending on maintenance and extends the life span of grinder rolls to an average of 12,000 working hours before they require one of the many possible refurbishments that the 6.R generation grinders can undertake.
Modern and safe; the Super 6.R model grinders feature a cutting edge complete electrical command panel, equipped with a PLC “Programmable Logic Controller”, an item that allows all the grinders functions to be controlled, making the operation and integration of the machine to a plant safer and easier.
